West Africa IMT 2025 to host key trade forum amid global shifts
The West Africa Industrialisation, Manufacturing and Trade (West Africa IMT) Summit & Exhibition 2025 is scheduled to take place from October 21 to 23, 2025, at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, Nigeria. Themed “Accelerating West Africa’s Sustainable Industrial Revolution for Economic Prosperity,” the summit aims to explore how African nations can take advantage of the evolving global trade environment to promote sustainable industrial growth and economic diversification.
The event will gather a broad range of participants, including government leaders, industry executives, investors, and development institutions, to address pressing global economic issues. These include challenges stemming from disruptions in global supply chains, rising protectionist policies, and changing global economic alliances.
Wemimo Oyelana, Portfolio Director for Africa at dmg events, emphasized the summit’s role in reshaping Africa’s trade strategy. He pointed out that ongoing global trade tensions offer a strategic opportunity for Africa to strengthen intra-continental partnerships and diversify its trade engagements globally. The summit, he said, will serve as a platform for collaboration and strategic dialogue on building a resilient industrial future, with a strong focus on investment, regional value chains, and sustainable industrial infrastructure.
The West Africa IMT Summit and Exhibition is positioned as a landmark event in driving industrial development in the region. It will feature a variety of activities, including policy discussions, investment showcases, and sessions focused on trade strategies, industrial innovation, infrastructure development, digital commerce, and financial systems. All these efforts are aimed at accelerating West Africa’s industrial transformation and ensuring long-term economic prosperity.
