Emirates, Air Peace sign global agreement
Emirates Airlines and Air Peace have launched an enhanced bilateral interline agreement aimed at improving air connectivity between Africa, the UAE, and other international destinations. The partnership allows passengers of both airlines to enjoy single-ticket travel, simplified baggage handling, and greater convenience on select routes.
While Emirates passengers previously had access to 13 Nigerian cities via Air Peace, the new agreement expands connections to West African destinations such as Banjul (Gambia), Dakar (Senegal) via Abidjan, and Freetown (Sierra Leone) and Monrovia (Liberia) via Accra. This expansion also strengthens Air Peace’s links to Emirates’ Dubai hub and major destinations like London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London Stansted, giving passengers more options, especially for travel from Nigeria to the UK.
Emirates’ Deputy President, Adnan Kazim, highlighted that the partnership expands Emirates’ African presence and supports tourism and trade via Lagos. Air Peace’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nowel Ngala, described the agreement as a strategic step to connect Africa more efficiently to the world, offering passengers seamless travel, shorter journeys, and improved comfort, reinforcing Air Peace as a key bridge between Africa and the global aviation market.
